It's that time of year again!
Truly for me, December is the most amazing time of year. Not just because it also happens to be my birthday month!
Carols are playing everywhere you go and there's a strange fuzzy feeling like the kind you get when you open up a bag of Famous Amos' in front of the tv and you got a great big glass-a-milk resting on your belly. Christmas comfort, right there. (:
This year's birthday was extra special because ive finally turned 21!
Our little party was a huge success and i received some pretty amazing things to boot! Thanks to everyone who came!
Now..Credit cards.. and jail.. and worrying about getting a good solid dependable job, getting married, having babies before my time's up, getting old and wrinkly (in due order) have now found time to creep up into my head, starting to make a huge nest in my brain :/
Last night i remembered old Christmas's past and how the magic slowly dies after you hit a certain age. Presents arent as awesome as they used to be, people arent excited anymore, Christmas cups arent enjoyed like they were in 2005.
Still though, Christmas will always be THE time of year for family, offering up prayers to the ones who arent so lucky, giving and receiving and bountiful with love, or so i'd still like to believe, Maybe its just me being sappy, but i turn into a big ball of mush right about this time.
This year i have a Christmas List / New Year's List that's naughty and nice at the same time.
- I really really want the skies to make way for all the planes that need to send people home for Christmas.
- To capture at least one magic Christmas photograph, so i can hang it in my room for 2011.
- White Fairy lights decorated in my room around a new four-poster canopy bed.
- Willpower. to save money towards building a life, hopefully some courage for the same reason too.
- A good job, something i can rely on and something that makes me smile.
- To get a degree.
- For my baby Elephant to have a very happy last few months because although my heart would break, she's gonna go soon and i want to make sure she has had the most amazing little life while she's still here.
- I also really want to learn to play the piano and the guitar properly, finally.
- To take a few more steps towards forming my little Music Org.
- A new Chanel, just one. That would be ace.
- I also really want my dad to be nicer this year, to get along with his family a little better.
Merry Christmas to all, fingers crossed it's a good one!
Love, Tess.
